Upon
arriving to AAA Tri Camp, I was like "oh my gosh, this is going to
be awesome", and I could not have been more correct!! They picked us
up promptly at the airport, had nice intro in the van to the camp,
and the facility that we stayed in was AWESOME!! Dorm like living
and plenty of food and drinks and just an overall comfortable
setting!
We had all five days completely
filled with training, learning, and hands on drills to truly
make you a better triathlete! I had done 6 triathlons before
even coming to this camp, and after being there for 2 days I
knew how you go from a minute and 37 second transition to a 20
second transition!!! I had my swim corrected, my bike position
corrected, learned arrow bar techniques, and had my run
corrected!! I just never thought I would learn even half of what
I did....you know being a triathlete, you think you know a lot,
well I can assure you, going to the AAA Tri Camp not only is
going to make me a better triathlete, but a more humble one!!! I
learned so much there and would recommend it to a beginner
wanting to become a triathlete, and one that has been doing them
for 20 years!!! It was money WELL spent and I would do it all
over again!!
They were very accommodating
and genuine people and I will definitely go back....to learn all
the things I am sure I missed!!!

I attended the AAA Tri Camp 5
day camp in October of 2009. I've been an athlete my whole life,
but had never trained or raced Triathlon and had no idea what to
expect. From the moment I arrived, I was totally impressed the
quality of the facilities and the complete organization of the
camp. During the five days, I learned more than I ever thought
possible. I would not recommend that ANYONE attempt a triathlon
without first seeking the instruction of AAA Tri Camp. The
training methods, tools and knowledge you will take away are
truly invaluable. It was such an amazing experience, and as I am
now training for my first tri, I know that John's coaching has
already put me miles ahead of the competition.

As an Aussie racing the 70.3
World Championship I found the AAA Tri Camp a perfect place to
prepare. The camp facilities are in a great location close to
Orlando and only just over an hour's drive to Clearwater. The
camp itself is extremely comfortable, and has all your training
needs in one very convenient location. John is your typical
Aussie guy, laid back, friendly and is a very knowledgeable
highly accredited coach. I would highly recommend this Camp to
any Aussie or American triathlete planning a US/ Florida
holiday. Come train, prepare and or race....it is the perfect
place!

The knowledge gained from the
AAA Tri Camp is without a doubt priceless. Learning the proper
training techniques and training progression is everything you
need to be a better competitor. The Camp has helped me to learn
not only the major area of training but what could be seen as
"the little things" that make you more complete. This camp
taught me how to do it, how to believe in it, and how to stay in
it for years to come. For anyone wanting to start competing in
triathlon or anyone already competing but looking for that extra
leg up, this camp is an absolute MUST. John and Jodi are
professional and personal, and that makes the perfect
combination for a perfect triathlon camp experience!!

I attended the Beginners Camp
in Nov 09 and what a great week! In one week we covered months
of training phases and tips, plans and race expectations as well
as ways to increase speed and transition times which would be
good for a tri beginner as well as someone looking to beat their
PB or PR. I hope to be able to put my learning into practice for
months if not years to come. AAA Tri Camp's John & Jodi made us
feel very welcome and at home in their camp and it was so easy
with everything on the doorstep from classroom, running track
and swimming pool to kitchen and dorms. I hope to come back next
year and take a step up to the age group camp.

So my husband & I just got back
from AAA Tri Camp and we miss it already! It was such a great
time! We are brand new to the Tri world and even though we only
attended the 2 day camp (this time), we learned so much! There
are so many things that can be learned from attending the camp!
John is extremely knowledgeable
with all theories, products and aspects of the Triathlon World.
He has taken the time to learn about all the products, read the
books and actually TEST OUT the products, and theories that are
out there so that he can deliver the straightforward, non-bias
truth. He will give you his honest opinion of the products and
let you know what is best suited for you and your needs.
He is not a Pro who wants you
to come just for your money – he truly wants to be involved with
all skill levels – and wants you to become better. He sincerely
wants to help you achieve your goals that you have set out for
yourself. He doesn’t rush thru information – he takes the time
to instruct it and then review and practice and make sure it is
understood by all before moving on. He is very patient
One of the things we learned
was how to Transition like speeding bullet…..! His transition
time is just so unbelievable! He was even too fast for my
camera! By the time my camera had finished processing the photo
of him jumping off of the bike – he already had on his shoes and
off to the run he went! Truly amazing --- something you must see
and learn for yourself!
John and Jodi are gracious
people, you feel right at home while you are there…..they truly
care about the sport and you – they want you to succeed in
Triathlons and with your general health and well being.
Mark and I cannot wait to come
back for a 5 day camp again and again! There is always room
improvement and new things to be learned….and we know that John
is the best to instruct that information on to us!
Thank you once again for opening this facility and for helping
us to learn how to be the best Triathletes we can be!

I have done five sprint
triathlons but needed extra guidance and training in the sport.
I found AAA Tri. Camp to be the best camp for me! In just two
days, John taught a lot of skills and drills for swimming,
biking, running, and transitions. Before coming to camp, I had
never tried clipping into bike pedals and was a little nervous
about trying them. John taught me how to get in and out of the
clips and within minutes, I was comfortable riding with them. I
also learned proper nutrition for Triathletes that will carry me
through training and racing. I can't wait to come back for the 5
day camp!

First let me say I can’t
believe how much there is to learn. A non-tri-person thinks
“anyone” can do it. All you have to do is Swim a little; bike a
little and then run a little! But then, the people that do tri –
know exactly how much there is to it. I knew awhile back I
needed help, but just didn’t even know where to start. I read
materials, did online research on a weekly/daily basis, emailed
friends, asked so many questions, and I still needed help. I am
so glad I was told about your camp! I have a better idea of the
basics, and it makes me look forward to the 5 Day Camp in
February. I came away with lots of knowledge and drills to help
me improve between now and February. The environment you have
established for this camp is absolutely terrific.
The knowledge John has is
endless. The classroom sessions were terrific. John made it easy
to understand and kept the information to basics so I wasn’t
overwhelmed with too many things to remember so early on. I
truly look forward to my continued training, and growth. I would
recommend this camp to anyone looking for training at all
levels. I obtained more than I expected to, and I feel very
motivated about my training harder and smarter. Before attending
the camp I had gotten myself into a schedule of training that
wasn’t working at all, and leaving me feeling not very
optimistic, but John’s guidance, I have a plan to implement for
improvement. I am very thankful for that experience. It will be
really great to see the difference between this past weekend and
where I am in February when I attend the 5 Day Camp.
Thank you for cooking the best
food too! It was wonderful!

I want to recommend the AAA Tri
Camp for anyone with an interest or currently participating in
triathlons. I am new to triathlons and training for multisport.
I have not participated in any races to date. In fact, I don’t
even own a bike, yet, and just started running a few months ago.
I signed up for the beginner camp and showed up with running
shoes, swim goggles and some shorts and T-shirts. They provided
everything I needed – housing, food, drinks, snacks, a bike and
bike gear, swim accessories and training aids. I literally
showed up and was able to eat, drink, train and sleep triathlon.
It was absolutely amazing.
I walked away from the camp
well prepared, knowledgeable and motivated for the upcoming
season. I discovered what to look for in equipment, proper
skills and drills, proper nutrition and hydration and season
planning. The list of topics we discussed is as long as an
Ironman race….and includes proper bike fit, weights and core,
swim and run sets, bike maintenance, Triathlon rules and
regulations, tapering, recovery and massage. It was truly an
amazing journey and an eye opening experience.
The hospitality was remarkable.
Onsite housing, an open kitchen, and all meals were phenomenal.
The staff went well beyond my expectations in making me feel
welcome and relaxed. On the last day upon packing to go home,
they provided us with a DVD of our camp and snacks for the trip
home. I was sad to leave, but ready to start training.
I hope anyone who reads this
gets the luxury of attending the AAA Tri Camp in Central
Florida. I can promise you, I will return. It is one of the best
investments I have made.

AAA Tri Camp is a fantastic
training facility! I organized my squad of young athletes to
attended a custom-made camp to learn the finer points of
draft-legal racing. John was a mine of information and this
combined with the facility and equipment provided made it a
perfect camp! As a coach, the opportunity to design the specific
training with everything on-site was invaluable. John and I
worked impeccably together to give all my athletes what they
needed, I would recommend any coach to talk to John and see what
AAA Tri Camp can offer.

The AAA Tri Camp far exceeded
our expectations, it was all so amazing for our group of
Tri-ath-a-Moms. The Camp is perfect for a group of friends who
not only want to improve their triathlon performance and
knowledge/skills, but it was a super fun get-away also! Although
we had all done our share of triathlons prior to the camp, we
found ourselves learning so many new skills, pointers and tips
on everything from the proper bike fit, speediest transitions,
running drills, proper nutrition and overall maximizing our
training. The camp has made us so excited to put this new
knowledge to work, we all know P.R.s are to follow. An amazing
camp and time away-highly, highly recommended! Thank you so
much.

AAA Tri Camp thanks so much for
a truly wonderful camp. I can't even begin to explain how much I
learned! The facilities are beautiful, the cooking is top notch,
the coaching is excellent, and my fellow campers were a
wonderful group of people I am lucky to have met. I'm an
adventurous person who has tried a lot of things in life thus
far, but I can honestly say that taking a leap of faith in
myself and trying your Triathlon camp definitely ranks in the
top ten. The coaches & staff were all down to earth, with
patience, kindness, expert advice and great training, and well
designed camp and facilities made the week one I will certainly
not forget and will want to repeat! My confidence has always
been high in my academic abilities but not in my athletic
abilities. I appreciate the time and patience you took to help
me and push me to see what I'm capable of. I'm very excited to
have started down a new path in my training, away from constant
LSD's. I've used my Garmin and HR monitor this week and worked
on my training plan. My first interval run was a success! Who
knew I could run that fast! Seeing my metabolic age at 51 on the
Camp's Body Composition/Nutrition program ticked me off! My
husband and I have developed a new daily/weekly eating plan and
are looking forward to working hard on reducing my age!
Thanks again for all you do to
give back to the sport! I plan to work on what I have learned
and get myself going with a training plan. I will contact AAA
Tri Camp for some coaching down the road to look over my
progress, training plan, making sure I stay on the right track.
And I will certainly be telling everyone I know to go to your
camp! I will certainly be back!
